UNEARTH Drops Intense New Video for “Eradicator” Off Their Critically Acclaimed Album ‘The Wretched; The Ruinous’

Watch “Eradicator” HERE

Metalcore titans UNEARTH proudly present their latest video for “Eradicator,” a standout track from their formidable album, The Wretched; The Ruinous. The video, showcasing the band’s relentless energy and unique artistry, is now available for viewing HERE.

Following the success of The Wretched; The Ruinous, UNEARTH continues to push boundaries, both musically and thematically. The album, lauded for its incisive commentary on global issues, stands as a testament to the band’s ability to blend aggressive sounds with thought-provoking lyrics.

Fans can access the album HERE.

Reflecting on the new video, vocalist Trevor Phipps says, “Since our new album The Wretched; The Ruinous was released ‘Eradicator’ has been posted and reposted more than any other track on the record by you all. Because of this we hit up our good friend Daniel Vandal from Kreact to shoot another live themed video (Incinerate) for us across the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The footage captures the high energy, and mayhem (Barrie), our Canadian friends always bring to our shows north of the border. Check out ‘Eradicator’ now and see you on the road.”

The album The Wretched; The Ruinousdelves into pressing global concerns, as Phipps explains: “The Wretched; The Ruinous is about the eight billion people on this planet. We’ve created a man-made mass extinction event and have been too slow to correct our faults. Extreme weather, drought, famine, disease, erosion of land, culture wars, civil wars, wars for natural resources, and the displacement of billions of people, is all a current reality. This isn’t a future problem; it is a now problem and I take this record to talk about it.”

Critics have hailed The Wretched; The Ruinous as a landmark release in the metalcore genre:

“Worthy of respect for staying the course, but also for smashing harder than ever, UNEARTH have made their best album since 2008’s “The March”. In the absence of anyone else nailing this substrain of metal with such panache, I hereby proclaim them to be the current kings of this shit.” – Blabbermouth

“The Wretched; The Ruinous is a reminder of how exciting metalcore can be when executed with passion and integrity, and that’s welcome in 2023.” – Kerrang

“It’s fun, it’s powerful, it’ll be a blast to pit to and it’s performed with a gusto and self-belief that comes from years of hard work and their deserved place as one of the originators of the scene.” – Distorted Sound

UNEARTH’s new video for “Eradicator” is more than just a musical statement; it’s a visual journey into the heart of what makes them one of metal’s most enduring and relevant acts.

Dirges echo the mourning of mankind, and shadows embrace the divine horror. Stream it HERE; the awesome music video (produced by Kinorama Studio) can be watched here:

Pre-Order Unextinct here:

HIDEOUS DIVINITY comments on the new single: ‘The Numinous One’ is the perfect paradigm of our new album. Everything you will find on Unextinct is there. Visually, a relentless descent into a new dimension of horror where, in a world that just survived a shipwreck, we evoke and reawake an entity that escapes our control and… bites us back. Like Lucy, we freeze in awe and horror and succumb to this impersonal, uncontrollable predator that brings extinction. Like the rat soldiers, we kneel in front of the abyss of pestilence, unable to look away. Musically, a new version of the appalling death metal monster that continues the path of Simulacrum. Join us in this first chapter of the most brutal horror soundtrack you’ll ever experience.

They add on the album announcement: “Unextinct sets a new milestone for HIDEOUS DIVINITY, another step towards musical unspoken terror and frenzy. Every song has become a world with its own dissonances and rules made to be broken. A soundtrack of a shipwreck with the best sound production we’ve ever had: our brother Stefano “Saul” Morabito at 16th Cellar Studios really outdid himself. The new creature is coming at you on March, 22nd”

Following their acclaimed Bionic Swarm debut album from 2021, Dutch Progressive Death/Thrash Metal outfit CRYPTOSIS continue to push the boundaries of the style with a new digital EP entitled The Silent Call, scheduled for release December 1st, 2023.

The brand-new EP’s title-track “The Silent Call” can be checked out now in a video created by the film Production Company F/53 / here:

Next to the brand-new song that serves as title-track to this release, the EP contains the previously unreleased song “Master of Life” (from the 2021 album sessions) as well as live versions of the album songs “Prospect Of Immortality” and “Transcendence” recorded in Athens, Greece in November 2022 during CRYPTOSIS’ latest European tour.

CRYPTOSIS comment about the new song “The Silent Call” as follows: “”The Silent Call” is a thought-provoking glimpse into a world where the lines between reality and artificial control blur, leaving individuals feeling lost and insignificant in the midst of sprawling, concrete jungles we call cities. A hauntingly introspective track that casts a shadow over our human existence. It’s a sonic journey that invites you to contemplate the complexities of modern life and the eerie silence of the unseen forces shaping our world.”

OUT NOW! ‘Endangered Pieces” by THE LAST REIGN

Just Too Darn Loud and It’s Dangerous to go Alone:
Brian Platter – Guitar/Songwriter/Founder
Joe Maggio – Bass
Adam Svensson – Vocals
Vince Mayer – Drums

Flexing their creative muscles, THE LAST REIGN are preparing to unleash a thrilling new album that pushes compositional and heavy boundaries. Endangered Pieces is the eclectic collection of new music, cover tracks, and chip tune reimagining of songs from the debut full length, Expulsion from Paradise

“The Endangered Pieces album is a collecting of our last three EPs including It’s Dangerous to go Alone (2019), Just Too Darn Loud (2021) and Sands of Fate (2022). The latter is a collaboration with vocalist, Jesse Isadore (DESIGN THE VOID). The idea was to release one new original song which will also appear on his debut solo album under the moniker ‘Isadore’ and have each of us choose one cover song. He chose “Good 4 U” by OLIVIA RODRIGO and our pick was “Ravenous” by ARCH ENEMY. Endangered Pieces will also be the first time these EPs are available on physical media.”

Opening with the powerful new original track, “Sands of Fate”, THE LAST REIGN deliver a huge, intense sound. Demonic vocals and raging rhythms are accompanied by melodic leads in a fury of heaviness. Bringing thundering metal instrumentation and a multi-textural vocals performance of aggressive harsh and gloomy spoken parts, “Good 4 U” has received a dramatic transformation. The upbeat energy of the original is metamorphized into intense anguish and high-speed rhythms through the medium of THE LAST REIGN’s ’90s inspired melodic death sound. WHAM!’s “Careless Whisper” opens with serene cleaner guitar tones, and sees a gradual build up of distortion and gutturals. Exploding into ludicrous speed, the iconic riff has been given a vicious overhaul. HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS’s “The Power of Love” takes on a raucous sound with driving guitars and thrashing percussion. Segueing into an array of chip tune tracks, these alternative versions of THE LAST REIGN’s early works showcase their speed and intricacy in a new light.

THE LAST REIGN have produced an intriguing album in Endangered Pieces. Dragging rock classics and modern pop kicking and screaming into the dark realms of metal, the outfit’s distinctive edge has converted the originals into something unhinged. Chip tune tracks introduce a new perspective take on the band’s music, while the brand new “Sands of Fate” gives an insight into THE LAST REIGN’s future releases.

Track Listing:
1. Sands of Fate (New Original Song)
2. Good 4 U – (OLIVIA RODRIGO Cover)
3. Ravenous – (ARCH ENEMY Cover)
4. Separate Ways – (JOURNEY Cover)
5. Never – (MOVING PICTURES Cover)
6. Careless Whisper – (WHAM! Cover)

8. The Power of Love – (HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS Cover)
9. It’s Dangerous to go Alone – (VIDEO GAME MEDLEY Cover)

WITCHROT’S Latest Offering “Live In The Hammer” To Be Released March 10th

Lea Reto – Vocals
Peter Turik – Guitar
Nick Kervin – Drums
Nick “Nido” Dolphin – Bass

Sizzling, soulful and bewitching, WITCHROT is gearing up for their latest offering Witchrot: Live in the Hammer, due out for its international release on March 10, 2023. All sleaze and psych, Live In The Hammer has the fuzz fueled quartet playing in the grease trap of Ontario. Smoky vocals overtop mesmeric psychedelic doom fill the room to the brim.

Formed in Toronto in 2018, WITCHROT was founded by Lea Reto (vocals) & Peter Turik (Guitar). After some international press over band disputes, betrayals, and a temporary break up, the band recruited Lea’s boyfriend Nick Kervin (Drums) and Cam Alford (Bass). Together they recorded the band’s debut full-length Hollow (2021) and most recently Live In the Hammer. Currently, Nick “Nido” Dolphin has joined the band on bass.

Pulling from the lost psychedelic masterpieces with fuzz erupting like a volcano and the ethereal shoegaze music of the late 80s and 90s, WITCHROT has carved their own haunting path. The all-consuming wave of divine music that is terrifying by its sheer velocity and force rather than dissonance.

Simultaneously beautiful and putrid, Live In The Hammer pays homage to the grime of the past, paved over by the glitz of the present. Live in the Hammer was recorded at Boxcar Sound in Hamilton, and mastered by Tony Reed at Heavy Head Recording.

The bubbling cauldron that is Live In the Hammer, serves as a bridge between Hollow and the band’s forthcoming next album, currently in the works. There’s no escaping the strange web of WITCHROT. Fall into the chasm and embrace the dark.

A LIGHT WITHIN return with the immersive new single “Meteoric Fires” Out Now!

Kyle Brandt: Vocals/Keys/Production
Jeff Irvine: Guitar
Josh Bennett: Bass
Nick Sloan: Drums

A LIGHT WITHIN return with the immersive new single “Meteoric Fires”. This dynamic textural feast of post-metal sees vast soundscapes unleashed accompanied with powerful vocals and roaming guitar-driven rhythms. Delivering an alternative twist with a progressive stance, A LIGHT WITHIN have crafted a magnetic track that is the perfect soundtrack to your day.

“‘Meteoric Fires’ is a song that basically wrote itself. I know that may sound cliche, but it was one of the first songs we wrote when Josh switched from guitar to bass and us moving from a 5 piece to a 4 piece. We had the basic structure and were fine-tuning parts, then the world was put on pause, and it sat, unfinished. Once things started to open back up, Kyle put together a demo from our live practices, added lyrics and some extra textural synths, and finalized the breakdown and song. This is definitely an evolution in our sound, delivered with more focus and power, while remaining true to our core.”

From vast synths to high-intensity, shimmering guitars, A LIGHT WITHIN has crafted a track that pulses with energy. Grounded with the heaviness of the bass and prominent drums, “Meteoric Fires” carries momentum with interspersed moments of calm to venture into ethereal realms. The strength of the breakdown reinforces the track’s darker tones and injects a further boost, all without losing that all-encompassing feel of the electronics.

Residing in Kansas City, MO, A LIGHT WITHIN debuted their first EP, Preface, in 2013, followed by Body Matter in 2015 and Epilogue in 2018. 2022 saw the band grow with the single release “Terraform”, kicking off a new era of singles offerings.
