Rockshots Records – INFERNALIZER New Video “What We Do In The Shadows” Off New Album “After Dark” Coming October 2023

Infernalizer is the brand new creature conceived and brought to life by the creative mind of Claudio Ravinale to portray his own take on the heavy metal genre. Ravinale is best known as the vocalist of Italian death metal veterans Disarmonia Mundi, who has achieved worldwide recognition with their high-octane melo-death throughout two decades and featuring Bjorn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork) among their ranks, along with being in other recognizable bands such as The Silverblack, 5 Star Grave and The Stranded.

Heavily influenced by 80’s metal acts such as Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, and Danzig, Ravinale‘s new project Infernalizer relies on the use of gloomy keys and eerie samples, paying homage to more somber gothic rock acts like Type O Negative and The Sisters Of Mercy. Vocally closer to contemporary acts like Rob Zombie and Wednesday 13, the range of influences also includes evocative cinematographic soundscapes that provide Infernalizer‘s songs with a more solemn and nocturnal atmosphere.

Ready to follow up the 2021 debut album “The Ugly Truth”, Infernalizerpresents the new full-length “After Dark” set to be unleashed in October 2023 via Rockshots Records.

Constantly balancing between aggressive moments and gothic atmospheres properly supported by deep crooning vocals and more irate outbursts. This new record is deeply rooted in 80’s metal and often prone to arena rock choruses, sets an eerie and nocturnal mood especially when it comes to the use of keyboards, often reminiscent of classic horror movie themes.

The desire to go towards more gothic rock territories on this new offering is fully represented by tracks like “Death Wish”, “This Is My Yard” or “Falling In Slow Motion”, while the planned-to-be-released singles “What Did You Expect?” and “What We Do In The Shadows” (both mastered at Sterling Sound Studio in Nashville by legendary Grammy-winning mastering engineer Ted Jensen) are open-heart love letters to 80’s hard rock. There’s no shortage of bangers as well with songs like “The Dark Passenger”, “Moon of Blood” or the title track providing the more muscular edge of the album.

Infernalizer frontman Claudio Ravinale comments:

“People that loved the previous album are gonna dig this new one because we basically took our time to refine the formula, focus properly on how we wanted the record to sound, and had a starting point to evolve from. Usually with the first album you simply take a leap in the dark and see how it goes, with the second one you already have a layer of bricks to build on and that’s exactly what we did. This is pure and simple entertainment. I’m not here to preach, I’m not here to make the world a better place, I simply want people to have a good time listening to this music, nothing else.”

Today, Infernalizer presents the new video for the second single “What We Do In The Shadows”.

“Right after we finished writing “WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?”, the band wrote this one and as soon as it was finished we immediately decided it was going to be the second single. It somewhat mirrors on the B side of the vinyl what “WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?” does on the A-side. It has been mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound Studio in Nashville as well. While the intro of the track might have a little Ghost vibe it was originally intended as a tribute to Deep Purple. As soon as the song kicks in the whole 80s metal vibe explodes again into another modern-day tribute to what is widely considered the best era of metal and hard rock. The chorus clearly represents the intention to write an arena rock-style anthem to sing with fists in the air, the lyrics focus on the inner fascination with the darker sides of human nature. If you dig Ghost, Lordi, Wednesday 13, and Alice Cooper this one is for you!” adds Ravinale.

Rockshots Records – TakaLaiton Shares “Do or Die” Drum Playthrough + New Album “Mindfection” Out Now!

Unleashing their debut thrash feast “Mindfection” produced by Teemu Aalto (Omnium Gatherum, Insomnium) this past July via Rockshots Records, TakaLaiton are all “Do or Die” and want to show you how with their latest drum playthrough from Joona Juntunen via its premiere on Sick Drummer Magazine HERE.

“Fast, heavy, and angry track of virtue signaling people who are ready to sell their principles just to be known as a good person even though they are just as bad as the next one,” adds Juntunen.

Hailing from Finland’s far north, TakaLaiton garners a powerful melodic groove thrash-influenced attitude that is best seen in their super-energetic live shows that have always left fans with a sore neck and bruises from the moshpit. With a risk-taking thrash-fueled demeanor, TakaLaiton superbly blends fast-paced energy, and a bone-crushing groove, with melodies that can only be inspired by the dark, depressing, and frigid far-north. Not to mention the band’s lyrical onslaught, sung in both Finnish and English. Since their inception, the band has covered a lot of territories while on tour, bringing their rowdy stage presence to the Scandinavian regions, the rest of Europe, and Asian continents.

TakaLaiton has a “break the rules, exceed all limits” approach, as their name suggests; deriving from a Finnish baseball term for “swing the ball over the borders”. With that fierce frame of mind, the band has won “Heavy Metal Heart 11” a National Music Contest in Finland; and is ready to follow up their 2019 double EP “SisuKastraatio I & II” with 2023’s “Mindfection”, their first full-length that is based on today’s society, where we as people do everything to be a part of it and what’s sickening to the band is that people are ready to do anything in the name of couple minutes of fame. This album is based on this sick way our world has come to be.

“We are absolutely psyched about the album release and the fact it’s coming through Rockshots Records! We spent literally everything we had when it came to effort on this album and the final result turned out to be magnificent with the producer Teemu Aalto. We think this will be the album that the TakaLaiton fans will consider a classic in the future. The well-known crushing sound and the rage are in there with the heartwarming melodies, which TakaLaiton fans are familiar with.” comments the band.

TakaLaiton‘s new album“Mindfection” was released on July 28th, 2023 and is available at the following links:

Album Length: 1:00:55

Presenting epic, bombastic, fast, powerful fantasy through their compositions, this second record from Eunomia is a group effort, as the first full-length was completely written by band founder, vocalist, and keyboardist Peter Danielsen. Joined by his brother Marius Danielsen (Legend of Valley Doom), bassist Alexander Ormseth, guitarist Magnar Winther Skorgenes and drummer Alessandro Kelvin (Perc3ption), the tracks on this new offering are more powerful and stronger than before with much more variety than their first effort.

“The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II”also features guests Alessandro Conti (Twilight Force), Arnaud Ménard (Alkemyst), Jimmy Hedlund (Falconer), Matt Krais (ShadowStrike), Ty Christian (Lords of The Trident), Mikael Dahl (Crystal Eyes), Olaf Hayer (Luca Turilli’s band, Dionysus), and Anders Sköld (Veonity). Overall, this second full-length has everything from power and symphonic metal elements to contagious choruses, fast double bass drums, and even slow epic songs that fit the storytelling perfectly.

“Everyone in the band has helped shape the new album. We worked hard to get this album the way it sounds. Re-written parts on many songs to make them as perfect as we could. I think the fans will hear that the band has evolved and become better, tighter, and more creative than on the first album. Better melodies, better songwriting, and even more epic than ever. We have leveled up significantly on this album. I believe this album is 10x better than the first one and I think the choruses will be stuck in the minds of fans and I hope they press the replay button many times after listening to it for the first time.” adds Peter Danielsen.

Marius Danielsen also adds:

“As the mixing and mastering engineer for this album, I must say it has been quite a journey. My brother and I have worked closely together on this album for about two years. Learning new mixing tricks and carefully carving out space for every single instrument in a dense mix consisting of 250 tracks or so per song has been a cool process to be part of. I think we managed to create an epic-sounding Power Metal album full of glorious melodies and memorable hooks.”

Not slowing down, the band is already in the works for writing “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part 3” and looks forward to performing live.

“I can’t wait to bring back Eunomia as a live band again now that most of us live in the same city again. We will try to tell the story of Eunomia with great energy, perfect performances, amazing guest artists, and awesome setlists.”

Recommended for fans of Rhapsody Of Fire, Twilight Force, Dragonforce, Freedom Call, and Hammerfall, “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II” is due out on September 15, 2023.

Rockshots Records – Out Now! Australia’s NOTHING SACRED EP “Leviathan”

Out now! Australia’s Nothing Sacred unleash their new EP “Leviathan” via Rockshots Records to follow their first album in 30 years entitled “No Gods” released in 2021.

“The 2021 album “No Gods” was well received so we were keen to get back into the studio and follow up as quickly as possible. The new release is another mix of new tracks and older tracks that builds on what we did with “No Gods”. We think it takes things a step forward – Sacred fans will find plenty to enjoy.” adds the band.

Fans of Nothing Sacred will notice on the band’s forthcoming EP “Leviathan”that there has been a lineup change that now sees the return of Chris Stark taking the reins as lead vocalist, replacing James Davies. Stark had previously sung with the band for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay down the vocal tracks for their next monster.

The EP “Leviathan” has plenty of riffs, killer solos, and big melodies from vocalist Chris Stark. The EP also includes the song “Sudden Death”, a thrashy unreleased track that was a mainstay during the band’s live gigs in the mid-’80s plus re-recordings of a few tracks from the band’s first album “Let Us Prey” and two new songs. All the new songs were written in group sessions with everyone jamming, throwing around riffs and arrangements into the mix. Overall, the EP is a blend of old and new, and something they could get done without a follow-up taking too long.

About: Conceived in Melbourne in 1983, Nothing Sacred went on hiatus for two decades. During the 80s, the heavy metal band unleashed their EP “Deathwish”, which catapulted them as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean, and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined the short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.

Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs.

In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series of 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalist’s Paul Di’AnnoP/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement.

In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan (That footage was released in 2021 as a part of a 3 disc boxset), which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.

Line-up changes again slowed the band, James Davies was recruited for vocals along with Stu Bedford on guitar. From there, the band spent most of 2019 and 2020 writing and recording, what was their first full-length in over 30 years. Entitled “No Gods”, the record witnessed Nothing Sacred‘s resurrection to the metal world. The album peaked on the Australian iTunes metal charts in October 2021 at #4 along with metal media outlets giving multiple praising reviews.

Now ready to follow up “No Gods”, Nothing Sacred has gone through another lineup change swapping singer James Davies out with the return of Chris Stark. Chris had sung with the band previously for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay the vocal tracks down on their next release “Leviathan” set for release in February 2023 via Rockshots Records.

Australian iTunes charts, October 2021. No Gods #4 in the Metal charts.

“The highly infectious intensity this album began with has not diminished in any way shape or form. And if you ask me – the thirty-year wait for a new album has been well and truly worth it.” – Metal Roos – 4.5 / 5 – No Gods

“Dramatic speed changes with a dense rhythm section. Powerful vocals with that speed metal scream added to the top. They are definitely very good at what they do.” – Metal Epidemic – 4 / 5 – No Gods

“Excellent production but above all the perfect rhythmic synchrony between the powerful riffs and the war machine called Sham behind the skins … A record for those who inevitably feel strong and ready to never back down. A great Job.” – Metal Wave (Italy) – No Gods

“ ‘No Gods’ is full of dark, yet energetic riffs with a vocal style that is easy to understand yet doesn’t sound whiny or too dramatically sorrowful.” – Brutalism.com

“In their decades amiss from the public NOTHING SACRED has managed to keep under wraps a form that manages to sound contemporary yet as well offers the classical indulgences of Thrash roots.” – Metal Temple

“Time may have marched on, but with ‘No Gods’, the band pick up almost exactly where they left off 30 years ago … there is a lot of quality here and a real chemistry bubbling beneath that surface.” – Metal Digest

“Overall, if you are a fan of US power metal, more melodic thrash metal and, of course, power-thrash, you should check this album out” – Metal Music Archives – 4 / 5 – No Gods

“This new album, “No Gods” is a culmination of musical experience and renewed energy … a band who have nothing to prove and are just enjoying the creativity.” – UK Thrasher

“If you ever come across this EP (“Deathwish”) , do not hesitate to get it! It’s essential listening for lovers of obscure old school metal.” – Encyclopedia Metallum

Rockshots Records – France’s Manigance Unveil “All Your Excesses” Off English Version of New Album “The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)” Out Feb 2023

France’s Manigance will be releasing an English version of their latest album “The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)” on February 24th, 2023 via Rockshots Records. The original francophone version was released on March 18, 2022.

Today, the band presents their next single “All Your Excesses”, a song that denounces the behaviours and human activities that lead to the progressive and rapid destruction of our environment, our planet.

“All our excesses have serious consequences. It’s our responsibility to change,” says Carine Pinto (vocals/lyrics)

François Merle (guitar) adds:

“This is the most complicated piece in terms of rhythm. The bass/drums part is very precise and an acoustic guitar solo brings a Hispanic touch. The vocals on the chorus are particularly high and very metal.”

Listen to “All Your Excesses” at the following links:

Visualizer – https://youtu.be/bITiDUggM6Y

Digital – https://bfan.link/all-your-excesses

What started out as a cover band to doing full fledge originals and being garnered “Best French Group of 2003” by Hard Rock Magazine and triumphing on the stage at Hellfest (Live video), “The Shadows Ball” is the band’s eighth studio album and first to be sung in English by new vocalist Carine Pinto who replaced Didier Delsaux in 2018. The band made the decision to do English songs as they wanted to make their music more accessible to foreign audiences in preparation for their 2023 European tour with Rhapsody of Fire in March.

“This album contains different songs from the Manigance standards. We have shortened the songs and worked on the arrangements. We think we can play a lot of these songs in our shows. It’s a sign that the fans should enjoy these songs. They are adapted to be played live. We have evolved in our writing process. The songs are still very rich, but the structure is simpler. We also listen to the latest productions to offer a modern album with a current sound.” adds guitarist François Merle.

The new album features twelve tracks that are inspired by Pinto’s lyrics from personal and intimate emotions, but also can relate to most listeners, from the betrayal of a friend, the burning of Notre Dame Cathedral (Paris – France), climate change, violence against the LBGT community, confinement during COVID, and domestic violence.

“The Shadows Ball” is recommended for fans of heavy metal and bands like Battle Beast and Accept.

Rockshots Records – The “Bandits” Are Coming! BAD BONES New Album “Hasta El Final!” Out March 2023

Photo Credit – Federica Bagagiolo – Hellucination Photography

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of dirty rockers Bad Bones for the release of their sixth album“Hasta El Final!” on March 17th, 2023.

Influenced by NWOBHM to the LA street rock scene, Bad Bones was formed in 2007. The band has made a name for themselves with tours across Europe along with making the move from Italy to LA in 2009 to make a foothold in the USA until returning to their home country in 2010. Over the years, the band has consistently toured the USA and Europe with appearances at events such as the Hollywood Rock Convention, Italian Gods of Metal, and Metalitalia Festival along with supporting bands like Steel Panther, Hardcore Superstar, Crucified Barbara, Entombed, Gotthard, Crazy Lixx, Strana Officina and more.

True Metal Magazine named “Bad Bones” the Best Hard Rock band of the year for 2010 along with Metal Hammer Italy awarding “Demolition Derby” the Best Album of The Year for 2016.

A musical amalgamation of blues, punk, classic rock, and heavy metal, Bad Bones’ latest offering “Hasta El Final!” is a powerful record, that shakes your bones and must be listened to in one go, in its entirety, just like taking a shot of whiskey, throw it down and then enjoy it while it warms your guts.

“Hasta El Final! hits you like a punch in the face, we thought it like this, compact and powerful, we didn’t use samples, nor quantized/triggered fake drums, everything was played live, even the overdubs were kept to a minimum, and we wanted to keep the fierce spirit of our first albums.” adds the band.

Making uncompromising rock that is meant to be loud in volume and make ya sweat in the pit, Bad Bones give listeners classic old-school rock n’ roll fun. Their lyrics reflect the things they see and hear, from memories, and life experiences, but also from movies or places they’ve been, there have many sources of inspiration that fans can clearly relate to.

Today, they share the first single “Bandits”, a song that hammers fast, between Motorhead and Iron Maiden, to sum up street life and bad intentions in the alleys of a big city.

“Rough, Rude, dirty… simply irresistible!!! Bad Bones know how to Rock !!” – Metal Maniac

“Bad Bones are on a mission for the god of rock’n’roll!” -Rockandmetalinmyblood.it

“Bad Bones have harnessed all the great sounds of the 80’s and brought it into the present. These guys just have that element that instantly grabs people and gets you going. They have the high gain distorted guitar sound with catchy riffs full of hard rock and blues. The leads are flashy and tight as well. They have a great rhythm section and every song is packed full of melody. They have a sound that is reminiscent of Trixter, Whitesnake, Def Leppard and Mr. Big, This album is 100% awesome form start to finish. Demolition Derby is already top of my play list and with one listen it will be on the top of yours. “The Dirty Room – USA)

“Bad Bones liefert sauber eingespielten, klassischen Hardrock amerikanischer Art. Knackige Gitarren, solider halbhoher Gesang, satter Groove und dieser nicht unerhebliche 80er-Touch sorgen für Stimmung sowie Gefühlswallungen in Richtung Sunset Strip. Man kann die Herren getrost zwischen rockigen Trixter, Hardline, Firehouse und Whitesnake platzieren – und selbst dann findet sich immer noch die eine oder andere Truppe, die man ebenfalls mit dem Stil der Italiener in Verbindung bringen könnte” – Classic Rock Deutschland

” … Over the years, the Bad Bones have become the nicest thing of hard rock of our country” – Simone Sacco – Metal Hammer Italy

Rockshots Records – Out Now! Finnish Rockers LEAFLET’s New Album “Something Beyond”

Out now via Rockshots Records, Finnish rockers LEAFLET release their sophomore album “Something Beyond”.

Formed in 2013, LEAFLET is a four-piece hard rock band from Turku, Finland. Their music can be described as metal-infused American-style hard rock and while you might hear echoes of bands like Alter Bridge or Shinedown they have their own unique Nordic flavour. In 2019, LEAFLET released “Johnny Two-Face” as a single through VR Label Finland followed by an ambitious music video shot in both Turku, Finland, and Tokyo, Japan. After a couple of years of silence due to the pandemic, the band is now back with their second album “Something Beyond”, sounding stronger than ever.

“With this album, we have tried to refine our sound further to something that can be more easily identified as LEAFLET instead of our influences. The album is full of catchy metal-influenced rock tunes that would fit perfectly in the heavy rotation of every rock radio station. The album has a lot of variety within the songs and we got a diverse selection of singles as well. Three very different singles trying to represent the entire album as well as possible. As singles, we got one heavy and hard-hitting tune, one straightforward and super catchy tune, and one fast-paced in-your-face type of tune. You should check out them all to see what you think!” says the band.

Recommended for fans of Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Mustach, and Shiraz Lane, “Something Beyond” is now available as of January 20, 2023 at the following links:

Rockshots Records – EMBRYO New Video “Darkest Lights” ft. Drummer George Kollias (Nile) Off Forthcoming Album “A Vivid Shade on Misery” Out March 2023

Current Line-Up:
Roberto Pasolini – Vocals
Eugenio Sambasile – Guitars
Simone Solla – Keyboards
Gabriel Pignatta – Bass
George Kollias – Drums (guest)

Italian melodic death Embryo is sharing the first glimpse of brutality from their forthcoming fifth album “A Vivid Shade on Misery”, which features the band’s recruitment of international drumming powerhouse George Kollias (Nile) for its recording. Due out on March 17th, 2023 via Rockshots Records, Embryo shares its first single “Darkest Lights” accompanied by a music video. The track is melodic, but with an unforgettable groove.

Watch and listen to “Darkest Lights” at the following links:

Digital – https://bfan.link/darkest-lights

“A Vivid Shade on Misery” follows the band’s 2017’s “A Step Beyond Divinity” (Art Gates Records), 2015’s Self-Titled (logic(il)logic Records) that featured Fleshgod Apocalypse’s drummer Francesco Paoli, 2010’s “No God Slave” and their 2006 debut “Chaotic Age”.

Since the band’s inception, Embryo has toured across Europe with Melechesh, Keep of Kalessin, Tribulation, Nile, Immolation, Ragnarok, Monuments of Misanthropy, and Suffocation along with performing on festivals such as Masters of Rock (CZ), and Total Metal Festival (Italy).

Embryo began writing their fifth offering in 2020 with George Kollias and entered the Domination Studio in July 2021 with producer Simone Mularoni, and engineer Simone Bertozzi.

Monolithic, intense, powerful, technical, and melodic this new album features eight brand new tracks and is another concept album like its predecessor “A Step Beyond Divinity”. The band is inspired by historical Italian figures of the Renaissance era and their tormented lives, their absolute genius, and the gifts they gave to the world. While the previous album “A Step Beyond Divinity” was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, this new work is totally inspired by Michelangelo Merisi alias Caravaggio, an Italian painter active in Rome for most of his artistic life.

“With “A Vivid Shade on Misery” we want to have listeners dive into our world by giving them brutal and atmospheric music melted together in the way we love to do plus having Kollias drum on this new album, one of the best drummers in the world, is just an absolute honour. Overall, fans will find this album has the “Embryo” matrix, there’s no doubt about that. It will be a more direct record and its songs make up a pattern that takes the listener on a journey through torments and anxieties, but which at the same time gives him pure energy.” adds the band.

From the band’s first album “Chaotic Age” (2006) to today, Embryo‘s music has evolved over the years. On the first record, they were more brutal and messier, now their compositions are much more “thought out” and brilliant. If they had to use one word to describe their compositional evolution they would say “sharp”.

Recommended for fans of Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Death, and Dimmu Borgir, Embryo will be sharing singles and videos in the coming months in lead up to the record’s release.

The album has been enthusiastically reviewed entering the 2017 best albums of the year charts in various webzines all over the world. Return To AVALAND’S New Album “The Legend of the Storyteller” Featuring Guests Out March 2023 Via Rockshots Records

Streaming First Single “Crimson Tyranny”

Album Guests Zak Stevens (ex-Savatage/TSO), Madie (ex-Nightmare/Faith In Agony), Pierre “Cara” Carabalona (Eltharia),
Ivan Castelli (Lionsoul), Angèle Macabiès, Jens Ludwig (Edguy), Bruno Ramos (Sortilège/ex-Manigance)

The mystical world of Avalandreturns in 2023 with the fantasy symphonic power metal band’s sophomore full-length “The Legend of the Storyteller”due out on March 31st, 2023 via Rockshots Recordsfollowing their 2021 debut “Theater of Sorcery”.

Compared to its predecessor, “The Legend Of The Storyteller” is heavier and is a much more epic power metal record full of anthems upon anthems for fans to chant to as they are taken on a journey over twelve theatric tracks. The record also hears double vocal duties from Adrien G. Gzagg and Jeff Kanji along with album guests that include Zak Stevens (ex-Savatage/TSO), Madie (ex-Nightmare/Faith In Agony), Pierre “Cara” Carabalona (Eltharia), Ivan Castelli (Lionsoul), Angèle Macabiès, Jens Ludwig (Edguy) and Bruno Ramos (Sortilège/ex-Manigance).

Lead by Adrien G. Gzagg (Autor/Composer/Lead Singer/Synths and Orchestrations), the album’s storyline is aprequel to the band’s first album “Theater of Sorcery” as he explains further:

“This album, as the first one, is a journey, a trip out of our world, into the universe of Avaland. We enjoy seeing Avaland as a great saga, as a movie, or series. We feel like listening to Avaland is like watching Game Of Thrones, The Lord Of The Rings, or reading comics, it’s an escape from everyday life. For this album, we took a lot of inspiration from Game Of Thrones and Arthurian Myths. We love fantasy and mythologies and we also find ourselves having a great fascination for alchemy and esoterism. Time is also a great subject, it’s mystical… in fact, time will be at the center of this saga. This new opus is showing a heavier and darker atmosphere of Avaland’s theatrical universe. Are you ready to be part of “The Legend Of The Storyteller”?”

Avaland‘s first single in support of “The Legend Of The Storyteller” is entitled“Crimson Tyranny” (feat. Cara, Madie & Zak Stevens).

“This song is the first one I composed for this album. It defines the atmosphere for this new album: darker than “Theater Of Sorcery”, but also more epic, especially with its mighty chorus (with some Blind Guardian influences). It’s a mind-sticking song, beware of this infernal hook “Crimson! Tyranny!”. The title of the song is a tribute to “In the Court of the Crimson King” by King Crimson.” adds Adrien G. Gzagg.

Rockshots Records Signs France’s Manigance For English Version of New Album “The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)” Out Feb 2023

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of Manigance for the English release of their latest album “The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)” due out on February 24th, 2023. The original francophone version was released on March 18, 2022.

The band made the decision to to do English songs as they wanted to make their music more accessible to foreign audiences in preparation for their 2023 European tour with Rhapsody of Fire in March.

Sharing powerful music with melodies that hook with you and that are instantly memorable, fans of the band will hear lots of surprises in each song that will make you want to listen to them again and again to catch all the details. From the big riffs that make you want to move your head, to modern guitar solos, and big bass drums that roar like a V6 twin-turbo.

“I decided to do some new guitar parts that were heavier than on the previous albums. I bought new amps to be able to produce a new guitar sound for the new album. I wrote the majority of the new songs. With Carine’s new voice I proposed new structures. I preferred to shorten the instrumental parts of the solo to focus on the composition. Lionel worked a lot on guitar arrangements to bring a new and more modern atmosphere. We took advantage of the break with the covid to find new inspirations. The time allowed us to work on the melodies. We also decided to replace some keyboard parts with guitar parts to have a heavier sound than on the previous albums. As soon as the demos of the songs were finished, we started the recording process.” says band composer and guitarist François Merle.

With Carine Pinto’s voice, Manigance was able to work on new atmospheres. She has a very warm voice in the low register and can also reach high notes. This allows the band to cover a lot of melodies and to try out new structures for the new full-length. The band chose the songs that they thought were the most successful and had different moods. For example “End Of Lock Up”, which is a duet between Carine and Zaher Zorgati of Myrath (whom the band toured with across Europe in 2018), is a song with a strong focus on the chorus. They created this song mainly as a crowd-chanter during their live performances.

“As soon as the melody was built, the sound of the guitars came to reinforce the atmosphere of the song. We did a lot of guitar recordings with different amps. This created a very rich guitar sound to accompany Carine’s voice.”adds Merle.
