Disillusive Play is excited to announce the signing with Wormholedeath label for the distribution and promotion of their second full album entitled “Songs for the Non-Existent”, which will be released in Spring 2023.

The album will include 11 songs.

For Disillusive Play there were never strict limits on the music style. The different influences of every member are put together and the final outcome can be described as hard/heavy rock with a metal attitude and some progressive nuances. However, if some influences should be mentioned, these would be bands like Queensrÿche, Conception, Marillion, King Crimson, Pendragon, and also more modern bands such as Halestorm, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold and many, many others.

After a very hard working and tough period, Disillusive Play is coming back with some very strong inspirations that deal with several aspects of society, everyday life, and feelings. A wide range of thoughts is revealed concerning criticism, racism, inequality, persistence, weakness, unfulfilled dreams, family, past relationships, life choices, suppressed souls, despair, and hope.

Music is unity! This is the motto that also unites the members of Disillusive Play. A no-destination journey with the sole goal of writing and producing the music of their hearts and communicating it to our fans, pure, unfiltered, and full of energy in every live. Disillusive Play is a band based in Athens, Greece that has been together since 2014. Disillusive Play music can be considered Melodic Progressive Metal.

Disillusive Play has a strong presence in the local live scene with many lives together with well-known artists and bands such as: “Gus G”, “Newman”, “La Tulipe Noire”,” The Silent Wedding”, “Meden Agan” and many more, together with a powerful presence in local music festivals (Ladies of Metal Festival, etc) and club gigs.

“Open Arms” is Disillusive Play’s first full release. The album is featuring Johnny Thermos of “The Silent Wedding” on keyboards. The 9+1 compositions have a modern metal sound with progressive parts and nuances. “Open Arms” has been released in 2018 and is available for purchase and streaming on all major digital music platforms as well as in physical form.

The Band will release their new full studio album near the Summer of 2023.

The new album, entitled “Songs for the Non-Existent”, will feature Marios Karanastasis (The Silent Wedding) on the duet of the album, Bob Katsionis (ex. Firewind) on Keyboards, Iliana (Enemy Of Reality) in backing vocals, and guest appearance of bass player Panagiotis Bourazanis in one track.

Celestial Burst is a French Progressive-Rock band launched by Alexis Lustenberger in 2012 as a solo studio project, Celestial Burst became a two-person band in 2020 when Alexis was joined by Singer/Actress Kenza Laala to work on the lyrics and contribute to the vocals.
After some sessions @ Hesat Recordings, Celestial Burst is proud to present its debut EP called ‘The Maze’ where the duo invited the Dutch diva Anneke Van Giesbergen (The Gathering, Devin Townsend…) as a vocal guest on the title track of the record.

Hailing from the city of Melbourne in Australia, Küntsquäd are a 4 piece Crustmetal/Deathpunk band spearheaded by frontwoman Paula Condell who also wields a guitar and rounded out by Steve Esler on guitar, Brett Eldridge on bass, and Adam Holmes behind the kit. The band takes inspiration from such acts as Sepultura, Discharge, Damaged, and Carcass while incorporating death/black/doom metal and crusty punk influences, blending it all in a concoction of pure, unadulterated in-your-face music.

U.S. Metal Band MALUS DEXTRA Drop New Lyric Video ‘Pit’

St. Louis, MO-based metal band Malus Dextra has released the lyric video for “PiT” from their EP III part-1,which was published in November 2022 via Worrmholedeath Records.

This multi-part release challenges the idea of the norm and delivers raw and real themes about division, corruption, and global chaos.

The band consists of vocalist Wayne Allison, guitarist Justin Ruesch, guitarist Justin Keane, and bassist Alex Smick. Their music appeals to fans of various genres and they have previously released four studio albums and two EPs.

Symphonic Metal Wonder BELLE MORTE Release “Exorcism” Ft. Ulziisaikhan Horoldamba Single & Video

When a piece of music crosses my path that sounds like this, I get chills which some researchers have dubbed ‘skin orgasm’ and excitement builds. Thats when inspiration hits me to write a review. Exorcism is in the category of symphonic metal but its more of an auditory vacation! This song is opulent, and beautifully layered with exquisite Eastern inspired soundscapes.

As the intro begins, the curtain falls and your journey commences. Vibrations from the strings transmit and reverberate in waves producing rich, brilliant tones. The bands stunning rendition of Exorcism shows off their artistic talents in many ways.

Belle’s smooth vocals are the perfect accompaniment for the symphonic excursion into lands far away. She serenades the audience with melancholy and danger. You can hear the melodrama of the lyrics enacted in her vocal performance which is no easy feat.

The unique and skillful instrumentation of a bowed stringed instrument called mornin khuur and subtle khuumei (throat singing) in the backdrop both performed by Ulziisaikhan Khoroldamba are nothing short of next level musicianship. Ulziisaikhan’s much welcomed addition to this composition brings this piece to a melodic climax and quantifies the brilliance with imagination.

Its both exhilarating and impressive when bands experiment with different sounds and constantly reinvent themselves. Belle Morte proves to be a force of nature with all their creative endeavors. I for one cant wait to hear whats next. ~Metal Lair

“Exorcism” continues Belle Morte’s international collaborative series and takes listeners on a journey far East, to the grassy steppe of Mongolia. This single features a traditional Mongolian bowed stringed instrument called mornin khuur and khuumei(throat singing), both performed by Ulziisaikhan Khoroldamba .

Belle Morte is a musical project from Belarus, Minsk, playing dark symphonic metal with a gothic/progressive flavor and melancholic vibe. The debut band’s EP “Game On” was released in 2018. In 2021 the band signed a deal with Italian label Wormholedeath to release their full-length conceptual album “Crime of Passion” inspired by John Fowles’s “The Collector”. Album tells a coherent story that started as an unhealthy obsession and stalking and resulted in murder, both from the side of the murderer and his victim.
Currently, the band is working on a series of songs in collaboration with musicians from different parts of the world. The first single from the series is “Fallen Idol’ featuring Finnish tagelharpa parts by Tero Kalliomäki, the second one, “Krew” features Ukrainian bandura by Yaroslav Dzhus and the third one features Mongolian morin khuur and throat singing performed by Ulziisaikhan Khoroldamba .
The idea behind Belle Morte is playing on contrasts – in music, lyrics, and visual imagery. It’s about seeing its own beauty in disturbing things, ugly things, and, vice versa, seeing the bad side in nice things which might not be that obvious at the first sight.

Arched Fire: New Single “Pestilence (feat. Tim “Ripper” Owens)” Out Now!

“Pestilence” is the second video and single off Arched Fire’s second album Trust Betrayal, to be released in the spring of 2023. The b-side “Mr. Death” is not on the album.

Lyrically, “Pestilence” observes a pandemic from a societal point of view. Among other things, a virus is a handy tool in politics.

“As people gather closer to each other, diseases rise from poor hygiene. People want to find someone to blame for the disease”, says Kristian, the band’s singer and main lyricist. “The main principle in magic is to direct your attention to somewhere else while you do the trick. This is what some people in charge may use to their advantage,” he continues.

Musically “Pestilence” is a pure heavy metal song with some speed/thrash influences.

“Some ideas, or shall we say primitive versions of them, are so old that I would bore everybody by rambling about how they’ve evolved from a mournful arpeggio intro to a twisted middle-part riff and so on, but let’s not go there,” says Ari, the rhythm guitar player. “Let’s just say that we found some ancient stuff of ours that really clicked with some of our latest riffs, and ta-dah, we had this killer new song called ‘Pestilence’.”

The song features some fiery vocals from Tim “Ripper” Owens (Ripper, Judas Priest, Iced Earth, etc.).

“I heard Ripper for the first time when Judas Priest’s Jugulator came out and I loved that record”, says Kristian. ’Cathedral Spires’ was my favorite tune because of Ripper’s high screams. I used to blast my stereos and sing along with him. I could not even dream that 25 years later he would sing with me on our album. It’s totally awesome and incredible to have Ripper featured in our song. Great respect and gratitude to him!”

Arched Fire Is Kristian Herkman (vocals), Aslak Purojärvi (drums), Mika Rytilahti (bass), Janne Särkelä (lead & rhythm guitar) and Ari Väntänen (rhythm guitar). Musically, Arched Fire is where heavy metal meets speed metal. The prologue of the band took place in 1989–1990 when a bunch of school kids formed Arched Fire in Finnish Lapland. Thirty years later they got back together and recorded their acclaimed first album Remote Control, out on Wormholedeath Records in 2021.

The band’s second full-length effort Trust Betrayal, out in 2023, takes their old-school metal game to a whole new level.

Spanish Female Fronted Prog. Rock Band THE FLYING CARAVAN Signs With Wormholedeath

The progressive rock band from Alicante (Spain) “The Flying Caravan” has signed a contract with the Italian record label Wormholedeath to re-release their double album “I Just Wanna Break Even”, recorded in 2021.
The influence of classic bands like Camel, Pink Floyd, Kansas, Be Bop Deluxe and new progs bands like The Flower Kings, Karmakanic, and Transatlantic, and musicians such as Roine Stolt, Neal Morse, and Jonas Reingold becomes evident with the sounds of progressive and classic rock being present throughout the six tracks of the record and thus creating the proper atmosphere for the development of the band´s music. 
The group has received very positive reviews for their recording debut on several specialized websites, being broadcasted on worldwide radio stations and appearing in many “2021 best album” lists.
The band, headed by its guitar player Antonio Valiente, has undergone changes in its original formation. New singer Julia Novecento and keyboardist José Hernández have recently joined the band. Drummer Lluis Mas and bass player Pedro Pablo Molina continue in the band from the beginning.
At the moment, the group is adding the final touches to new themes that will form part of their new record.

Antonio Valiente

Born in Alicante in 1970, Antonio started playing the guitar at the age of 13 with Mark Knopfler as his main musical influence and assimilating the fingerpicking style as his own.
Since the age of 18, he has been learning modern techniques and harmony with different guitar teachers. As an avid record collector, he devours all types of music from bands and styles he gets acquainted.
With his first band, Yeomen, he performed live for the first time while gaining influence from bands like Camel, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Yes, and musicians such as Andy Latimer, Martin Barre, David Gilmour or Bill Nelson.
Antonio was one of the founding members of the group Numen in 1972 with whom he recorded two albums, “Samsara” (1998) and “Numenclature” (2014), as well as the DVD “Numenclature-Un viaje en progresivo”.
Since 2000 he has been a member of the bands Malatesta Bier Band, Whiskey con Yoda, The Worms, and Kamikaze Sound Express with whom he has played a variety of styles.

The Flying Caravan – “I Just Wanna Break Even”

From that year onwards, he focused on the idea of developing his own compositions to record a double album. When Juanjo Sánchez (keyboard) joined the project in 2004, all ended up as The Flying Caravan.
However, the turning point for the project took place when Izaga Plata (vocals) joined it. It was then when she and Antonio developed the vocal melodies and the lyrics for the record.
With the entry of Pedro Pablo Molina (bass), Lluís Mas (drums), and the return of Juanjo, the project became established.
The band recorded their first double, “I Just Wanna Break Even” in Altea between March and August 2017 with the help of some good friends and great musicians.
The recording of The Flying Caravan was made in the studio of the Miguel Hernández University, in Altea, with Daniel Montiel as the sound engineer, audio mixing and mastering process, with Lluis Mas in his studio in Alicante, and Antonio Valiente and Lluis Mas as the producers of the album.
After a two-year lasting production, during which keyboards and percussions were added, the album was finally released on January 11 2021 displaying the collaboration of Manolo Salido (sax), Juan Carlos Aracil (flute), and Jorge Aniorte (vocals).
The album cover has been designed by the outstanding illustrator Mario Domínguez.
The band, headed by its guitar player Antonio Valiente, has undergone changes in its original formation. New singer Julia Novecento and keyboardist José Hernández have recently joined the band. Drummer Lluis Mas and bass player Pedro Pablo Molina continue in the band from the beginning.

Progressive Metal Phenomenon THE WRING Drops “Sins” Official Lyric Video

“Sins” is a track taken from Spectra, out via Wormholedeath worldwide.

The last album “Project Cipher” (2021), was very well received globally, garnering great reviews and lots of positive feedback. “Spectra” carries on in the same tradition and headspace as its predecessor, but according to Dewulf, the songs are a bit fuller and more cohesive. He is hoping it brings new excitement to the listener.

He continues to explain that “Spectra” is maybe a bit like a 1970’s King Crimson album, but without any ethereal soliloquies and certainly with a more significant hard rock/metal influence. It is a cauldron of hard rock, jazz, metal, classical, 80’s rock, 70’s rock, and probably a few other things. It is recommended for fans of Dream Theatre, Opeth, and Porcupine Tree.

“We formed THOD in 2018 with the aim to create blackened Doom of the darkest kind. Here we are, 4 years later with our first album under our belt. Asklepios is a concept album about diseases (a subject that we chose way before the pandemic). Each song is based on a single riff that evolves according to the piece’s needs. Harsh German vocals contribute to the bleak atmosphere we create while small touches of saxophone, EWI, theremin, or other unexpected instruments add an eeriness to our sound.
We were lucky to be picked up by WormHoleDeath for international release and distribution. We’re very proud to be part of the roster of such a great label. Their catalog is filled with metallic gems and we are sure that glorious things will be done together.”
